AKA Wahclella Falls
I took this 2 weeks ago in the afternoon while the sun was shining right over the falls....Normally I would have shot this early in the morning but it ended up being the 2nd place I went that day...as I got up on the hillside the sun came out and ruined any good chances from up there...So I decided to go low and when I saw the sun through the bridge I thought I would give this a try....not something I have been very successful with in the past...
Curious to see what you think about this....Honesty please....
I would post this over in M and N but that places is dead!
Cheers and Thanks for taking time to stop by

I like the light you captured - especially the color in the water. I'm not liking the bridge at all, however. It looks too...I dunno, uniform maybe? The mere presence of the bridge for that matter shifts the weight of the image too heavily to the top half of the frame too. Just too much going on up there. Without the bridge and with a little better focus on that reflected color in the water this would have been a killer scene.

I'll take the other side of the coin on this one Darren. I think the bridge adds interest, especially since the falls are partially blocked from this angle. Nice job of catching the sun. I agree with Bryan on the color in the water. Overall, a nice shot.

As I said on flickr, I love this shot. Unique and interesting take on Wahclella. The low angle, with the light on the water is beautiful. I lke the bridge and particularly the angle of the bridge going up into the right corner. The sun adds an interesting element. Well seen and executed.

Works for me, Darren - you made a good call on how to fit the bridge into the scene, and it's definitely a break from the norm in this location. The light on the water really makes the image, with or without the sunburst.

Nice shot. I like the comp, and you captured the spirit of the place well.

I like it and applaud your tenacity to do something different up there...
