Hi,

I guess having made the rather long round trip I had better post an image from Donna Nook, it was great meeting so many of you even though conditions played against us and won...

All the best

It was obviously worth going - that's a gorgeous image. Great light, eye contact, the 'aaah' factor - superb.

Very nice indeed Phil. It is surprising how much the colours vary between these seals and the ones around the coast here in the Western Isles.
Best wishes

Looks like he's well 'latched on' there Phil - always good to see

Another image that makes me wish I'd stayed on a bit longer - I take it this was further up the boardwalk?

Nice comp and a good result - not easy getting eye-level images from there is it  :wavey:

Good Job Sir  :toast: :toast:

Nice work,

Hi Phil

Lovely intimate image - every cloud has a silver lining, had you been able to get out on the flats you would not have got this wonderful image with the grass and mud flats in the BG!

Nice on Phil. Looks like you stayed around for that brief moment on sunshine. Obviously you're made of sterner stuff than me.

Great interaction here Phil. I am going there in January and as it is my first trip to Donna was wandering what sort of footwear is best? I've heard it's a long slog but don't know what the ground is like.

Thanks

Lovely shot. lovely blend of colours. Rob - if Donna Nook is anyhting like the Norfolk sites that I go to for seals then it's sand dunes. Your walking boots should be fine unless you want to get into the sea. (But confirm that with somebody who has actually been there!)
Cheers,
Dave

Hello Phil

Ah the sign of a good photographer is to make the most of a bad situation. Great shot and different from the norm.

How a simple burst of sunlight can put a positive spin on what was otherwise a dull day eh!! That and a good and patient photographer's eye and skill too.

Good stuff Phil - the boardwalk based shots from Donna are underated imo - and you've proven it here too.

Very nice Phil, looks like you have a nice image to remember the day with. The little breaks in the cloud help make the image more dramatic, as the bg is still fairly dark.

Nice comp and a good result also showing some interaction as well.
