from saturday
cropped to 3:1 pano, not sure if it's not too much dead space, comments on this much aprreciated, taken from a car at the turn off for capel fleet in the field on the right (for those that know sheppey)
I quite like this Jack... Lets see Capel Fleet.... by any chance after the pair of Rough Legged Buzzards?
Did you go further on to Leysdown, it can be very good for Waders?
All the best

hi Phil thanks for the comment,
as to the the rough legged buzzards they weren't showing while i was there, though a ringtail and what was probably a very distant merlin were some consolation,
and no i didn't get down to leysdown as i got caught up at elmley with the grey phalarope (a first for me) and never had time

Hi Jack,
For me this doesn't work very well though I'm struggling to reason why. I think the 'busyness' of the corn stalks maybe overpowering the image of the Lapwing.

Jack - for me the lappy is too small to be in such a busy BG - as David says, it's overpowering the bird - if the bird was 3 times the size then I'm sure it would work well - but a nice try - I can see what you were intending

I'm keen on this style of bird in environment shot, but a combination of bird size and distracting stubble means for me it's just not quite there - like the idea thouigh and maybe a 2.5 or even 2.1 ratio crop would help.
