Painted Hills
This is a stitched pano that I have wrestled with, some days really liking and other days not. What do you think? Do either of these work?

Here's the narrower crop.

I have never been to Painted Hills (yet!), so I appreciate the perspective that these photos offers. I didn't know it was a huge bowl (aka: volcanic cone?) They both look okay except for the shadow areas, especially the shadow of the mountain in the llc. It seems intrusive in the shot, though I am sure it is an important landmark and reference point for the area. The cloud is pretty spectacular.

I've only been there once, but would highly recommend a visit. It is a very interesting place. Here is another view looking south from the north side, the first view above is looking east from the west side. (In fact for perspective, if any of you have Painted Hills photos you would like to add you are welcome to post them in this thread.)

I prefer the first version....that sky is too good to leave any out. My only suggestion would be to open up the shadows a bit more.
