Wheatear and Grouse, Bingley Moor, West Yorks, early September07
I have this in a single frame, but I was forced to clip the tail of the Grouse,so I took a frame of the complete Grouse with the idea of merging the frames. Not all that happy with the composition I think both birds are too close to the edges of the frame and a bit too far apart. I have more frame edge for the grouse but I forgot to get any more frame edge for the wheatear. On all other frames the birds are always facing away from the camera. Any way I like the idea at least.

With this one because they are both near the edge of the outer frame, i think a pano crop would suit this better.
Crop just under where your name is, then say a inch or so of the top.
Just hold two pieces of paper on the screen to block out those parts, to see what i'm on about.

I think Alans' suggestion works a treat - what a cracking capture though

Good capture and work - the pano will make it even better.

thanks all for the comments - Alan your pano suggestion certainly does improve the composition, but really it needs reshooting
I like it, makes a more unusual image combining different species in their environment like this. Possibly more effective if they were closer together but I guess thats not easy! Tristan
