Browsing around.. Glad I found ya! Thanks for linking me back.. I'll get used to the flow after a while.. I'm here to network so I can be better set up and educated for selling my work... I'm glad to meet you all.. How has being a member helped you? Anyone else from my neck of the woods here in Northern Lower Michigan? I love gathering and meeting fellow photogs.. I make pictures with an Olympus E-300 and use Photoshop 7 for processing...

Welcome, Susie. I know there are lots of Michigan folks out there. I'm not one of them, but don't hold that against me.

NPN membership has helped me in so many ways. I'm still pretty new to photography so I learn something every time I log on. Posting my images and participating in critiques has exponentially increased my understanding of technique, composition, processing and marketing my work. The folks at NPN are great and I've made a number of good friends through my participation. Hope you have the same experience.

Lower MI here, but much lower, as in the SW portion near Grand Rapids.

Yeah, Scott is way, way up there, at least for those of us in Ohio.

I am hoping next year we'll have a couple more regional meetings somewhere. The last two years, and this one in particular, haven't been all that great for me in terms of being able to travel.

The one annual event that seems to go on in spite of me is the spring warbler migration. One group meets at Magee near Toledo and Cindy Mead (at least used to, before her health issues - GET BETTER SOON!) also ran one in the southern part of Michigan.

Thanks for the welcomes and heads up on gatherings.. I live near habitat for the Kirkland Warbler but haven't seen one yet.. I'm definitely in a scenic area of the state.. Should anyone happen to head this way, let me know.. I may be able to guide you around..

Susie,

I've been a member with NPN about a year and a half now and have learned TONS! I think that you have associated yourself with some of the BEST Nature Photographers out there. So, don't be intimidated to post, give feedback, and get it as well. Only way a person learns.

Hello Susie,

Glad to see another from N. Michigan. I do post on here or other places much, but check in weekly to see all of the great work that the members post. You'll find a great bunch of people here with a vast amount of knowledge.

Duane
