Bighorns II - with apologies to Dan Walters...
Shot this herd of bighorns south of Blanding, Utah.

Staying in Moab this week and enjoying the last of the fall color.

Wow. Very tame bighorns. They let you walk right up to them

The composition is good, but I think a polarizer would have help take some sheen off the desert varnish and maybe brought out some additional details.

I like the color scheme on this without the polarizer - very red - but Mel is probably on to something. I almost never take pictures of petroglyphs without a polarizer; especially when there's good desert varnish on the top, the polarizer can really make these figures stand out.

Getting all these bighorn is a huge bargain, Ken. Isn't a bighorn hunting license something like $5000.00 for just one?. What a deal!!

Apologies accepted! Nice shot. I would love to see some of these petroglyphs.
