Amherst Island

Does anyone have experience shooting on Amherst Island in Lake Ontario? I hope to spend a weekend or two there this winter looking for birds of prey. One of my big questions is if everything is from a car or if there are opportunities to move about on public land? Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

A little late on this but Amhearst has been a bust by all accounts this winter. They did record 5 species of owls but it was one of each. That's the way that place is... really good or .......
