I made this image this summer. I posted it in the ESS forum, using a scan off my Epson 4990 flatbed. I never could get rid of a weird greenish color cast in that scan. I recently had the chrome drum scanned and just finished reworking it.
I have a sale pending of a large print of this image. Any input, critiques or recommendations are most welcome.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Hi Harley,
This presentation is great and I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel to see an actual print. I specially like the strong darks, which add to the stark nature of surroundings.

This looks outstanding to me.

I like htis much better Harley. the shadow detail is great. that alpenglow is delicious.
Harley, this looks real nice. The light is gorgeous. It's just a 'web thing', but there are halos visible on the skyline and on the reflection of the peak. I know they won't be there on the print. This is a very dramatic photo!
Harley, looks very nice to me and I'm sure it will make an excellent large print. The only suggestion I would make is to make a smaller print first to check things out. I always make a 12x16 here at home as a test run on the file before I go larger and paying for it out of pocket so to speak.

Harley,
I thought this image looked familiar. I don't recall any color casts from before, but this is gorgeous. The light and glow is beautiful.
Hey, let us know if the sale goes thru. How big of a print?

Thanks for the feedback. I alway appreciate input.
Preston, I have printed an 8x10 and cannot see any haloing effect. I also can't see it on the screen. I have no masks along the ridgeline, so there is no reason for halos. Thanks for the info, though. Well worth checking out.
Lon, not sure what size print. The potential client is going to measure his space and let me know.
I shot a very, very similar shot years ago in 35mm. Same lake, same reflection. One of my goals on the backpack was getting that shot with the 4x5. I am quite happy with the result.
The image look quite close to the chrome. The reds are very slightly more saturated and I popped the foreground rock with a little dodging mask. Other than that, pretty dang close.

Just an excellent dramatic lighting and reflection image Harley!!
and popping that foreground rock is Perfect!!
You should be VERY proud of this one!!
Made the hike worth going, huh...............
Are you going to print a LightJet on Glossy?
That would REALLY make this puppy pop!
Kudos!!
in gratitude,
Nelcha

That's a nice composition. Very striking at first glance.
Nitpick: The rock looks a little too underexposed on my screen.
