Pikes Peak at 6 degrees
Happy Thanksgiving!

6 degrees is what my thermometer read on Rampart Range Road this morning. Finally winter is here. It was so cold that my pan head would hardly move and my compur shutter was running a little slow on the 4X5. This is from my XT.

And a second version from a few minutes later.

Happy T-day to you too, Mel! Great shots--gotta love that cold crisp air! More to come tomorrow--im hoping to get to the san juans which should get smacked pretty good over the sw slopes.

Yup, these convey the feeling of c-c-c-c-cold! Nice shots of my favorite mountain. Wish we got more snow out of this storm, but looks like round two is heading in for tomorrow.

Very nice Mel. Yeah, winter came on in a hurry that's for sure. I woke up to 6 degrees as well this morning here in Bayfield. Gotta get up in the San Juans today and check out the results of the storm.
