A portrait of colour
I just had to take a portrait shot of this colourfull bird  .

Taken on a very cloudy, rainy day.Hence that sloooooow shutter speed  .

I know from the past, portraits are not liked by many.Oh well!

C & C welcome

Thanks for looking

Nothing wrong with portraits imo Alan - this one's nice, but also imo needed a little less zoom to give a touch more of the head on the left (completing the feathers that sweep back so elegantly).

Looks like you had some fun with these oriental delights

Blimey, I'm sure my photochromic specs darkened a bit when I opened this! Excellent crisply detailed and colourful shot, nice one!

Super detail Alan - tidy shot :toast:

Like Mark I'd like to see the whole head and neck, but it's a great image nonetheless :wavey:

Great colour and suberb detail a portrait which I would be proud of.

Very nice - I prefer this to the others, but it's a tight call:biggrin:
The form and detail of the feathers really make this stand out. I think that the closer crop emphasises this and works for me.

Colours are amazing Alan. Nicely done. Not a great fan of portraits myself, but sometimes, you just have to do it. This is one of those times! :toast:
