Having reviewed the advice and followed Andy's format may I re submit
the adjust image?
I'm not convinced working with a laptop is ideal but I feel I need to understand the issues that I'm encountering.
I really appreciate the heads up.
Thanks
Barry

Looks like we are getting somewhere Barry - good job on the workflow change
Now for a couple of changes for you to try; firstly, in CS2 if you click Image>Adjust>Shadow Highlight a dialogue box will open up - click the Advanced tab.
Now play around with the shadow sliders - there's 3 - and see if you cant bring some detail into the FG leaves without effecting the BG too much.
When you've played with that, try the same with the highlights - you'll notice that when you play with these the highlights will go 'darker'.
Just have a fiddle around with everything 'cos it's the ONLY way to learn!
The next thing I'd like you to do is go Image>Adjust>Colour Balance and click the highlight radio button then grab the bottom slider and move it SLOWLY from blue to yellow (you might need to do the same on the midtone button too) and see if you can't remove the blue from the water highlights, especially the one in the middle distance.
Have a play around Barry - we'll have you working in layers before Christmas mate
Much much better image quality. It does seem a bit contrasty to me but laptops can be terrible for adjusting images as the brightness changes everytime you move your head with most. Now the image is big enough I think one of the main problems is depth of field - the trees in the background are not in focus. I'd be tempted to get more dof or focus on the trees and let the framing leaves go slightly out as they are not the main subject of the image (to me). Big improvement, keep them coming. Tristan
