Abstract n'glow
Here is one shot during the workshop in the CVNP last October. It is done is a sonewhat "Moatsian" mode... that being , oversharpend, over saturated, added contrast etc. It's like cooking food to your taste. It's not for everyone. Truthfully I don't know if I even like this a lot, just just thought I'd play around a bit tonight.

Jack,

I could see this on a wall somewhere. Looks like the leaves are floating below the surface of a water and oil mixture to me. All the leaves are basically flat except the one red one in the RLC which kinda throws me alittle. Good capture!

Jack, this works pretty well as an abstract. It has a "stained glass" feel to me. The colors really pop.

Jack, a little garish for my taste, but as you say, depends on how spicy you like your cookin'! CJ

Jack, I've come back a number of times to take a look at this. I'm still not 100% sure of my opinion (edited for typo...sorry). I think I'm probably more with CJ, but that is probably an admittance of stylistic bias as much as anything. In some senses, I think I'd like it more if it was even more pushed towards "photo art", as I find it to be in a bit of an uncomfortable spot for me at the moment. Regardless, I'm glad to see you trying new things and testing some different waters! Take care Jack.
