repost Henderson Inlet Sunrise
iso 100, 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 VR at 50 mm, f3.7, 20th sec. D80
This morning at 6:30 am.
Still has a magenta cast even after trying to remove the cast. Maybe it was that way...

Beautiful color David! The magenta looks like it was supposed to be there. Don't expect me to be happy about this though, I've been pining to catch a sunrise like this from Cape Horn, but couldn't go this morning  .

The colors are sweet, but the exposure is off. They sky is a little blurry and I am struggling to find more than a "sky shot" out of this.

The sky is definitly the subject. The darkness on the left is a bit distracting. Was this shot in Matrix or Evaluative metering? These kind of conditions always trick the auto metering in any camera!

Repost is better. Now there's some mist and mood. Good color. Like so many of mine, seems like the view is the subject.

I like the shadows better on the second one, but the sky looks crunchy. A mix of the sky from the first and the shadows and water from the second would be my vote.

I think I may have oversharpened too much. Maybe a little more work?

A "crunchy" sky? That's a good one, John! Also think you've got a good idea about a "slide sandwich" of some sort for this shot. The color is great.
