hi all, been a while since posting.
weather has been really bad the last couple of weeks
and girlfriend moving in, so been a bit busy too
Those lovely moonshots by Mark and Andy reminded me
of one i took back in march. Birds are Common Cranes
migrating north to their breeding grounds. They were
friendly enough to circle around and pass the moon for me
Taken with 1d mk IIn and the good old 400mm f/5.6
iso 800 f/10

Christian - superb imagery
Love the comp - bet this looks really special full-size
One tiny thing - pity the top 2 birds are 'touching' - have you thought of removing the one on the right - it won't spoil the flight pattern and all the angles would be spot-on..............just a thought
i see what you mean, but i kinda like it that way, im not too keen on cloning stuff
out of my pictures, i like them to look as much as real life as possible
but i will have a go at it anyways

Great shot Christian - just wondering if it would work even better with the image flipped horizontally so the birds are flying from left to right.
