We had a few days off over Thanksgiving, so we headed to Utah. Last Spring I posted almost the same comp, done in IR, to E,S&S. I like this spot, so I decided to see what I could do with some moonlight. Although there's none in this shot, this was my first time to Arches/Canyonlands that I saw snow. I hope Brett Edge was out there shooting!

This is a very unique interpretation of Arches Paul. I like it.

Ordinarily I wouldn't care for the halo around the rocks, esp. the one on the right, but I think in this instance it actually enhances the magic of this shot. Very intriguing.

I like this shot. I like the stars and the quietness the picture invokes. What time of day and how long was the exposure?

Well, color me red!!! I missed all the camera data that was already on there...sorry!

Interesting comp, and i really like the subdued mood. Im not sure if i agree with Todd, tho, since the first thing that caught my attention was the halo.

Nice shot! I was just there shooting stars in the other direction over the Three Gossips.

Thanks for the comments guys. Also, thanks for pointing out the halo. It's much more apparent in this resized version and I totally missed it.
