Moonlight over Quivira
I took this Sunday night; it was cold but with calm winds. The moon was full, illuminating the clouds. This is at Quivira NWR, and the water is one of the large salt marshes. I think the lights are the refuge visitors center. I used channel mixer with a reduced opacity to take much of the color out of the pic. 30D, ISO 1600, 30 sec, f/3.5, cropped. My goal that night was for the stars (shoulda used 20 secs to reduce the trails), but I knew it was a long shot once the moon came out, and the cloud cover was fairly thick in places. I posted another star pic in M&N on 11/27. Any suggestions for improving this? Thanks for looking.

Rod very interesting, you have taken quit a few night shots lately. I might like it darker, you might play with curves and dark it some.

Nice shot Rod, the star trails would have really been nice in this one.
