Rannoch Mor
20D, 28-90, Tripod,Polariser, 0.6ND Grad
f/22, 1/13, ISO400
Cleaned bg with Noise Ninja and Marc Adamus' web sharpening technique used.

A misty morning on Rannoch Mor provided a tranquil environment. The high ISO is simply due to my forgetfulness to change it (hence the need for Nosie Ninja)

Sorry I haven't been around much recently - with web access resumed I hope to be around a bit more!

Hi Pete,
Not sure if this works for me. My eye is kind of bouncing around the image a bit not knowing what to finally rest on. I also think I need the background to be a little punchier. Having said that I will happily confess that I know next to nothing about landscapes and this is a billion times better than anything I've ever attempted!
All best,
Dave

Lovely atmosphere in this image although I agree with Dave regarding the comp.

I do like this Pete :toast:

There are a couple of elements that detract a tad - the big lump of rock being cut by the left frame edge, and I think I'd like the water line in the BG 2/3 instead of 3/4 up the frame.

But they are just me being picky, as I said, I do like it - plenty of atmosphere :wavey:

Great atmosphere, the light and conditions look perfect. It would probably make a more powerful image if there were fewer elements to look at. Tristan

Very atmospheric shot, leading the eye from foreground to background. My nit is that the foreground grasses/rushes are dominated by the rocks further back - couldn't switch them around could you  Seriously though - I like the grasses a lot, and the gentle colours work really well. It would make an excellent poster I think.

I like the ethereal abstract quality about it. Its almost like zen garden and I could spend a lot of time looking at it trying to figure it out. Great picture, I like it a lot :toast:
