Siskin in evening light
Another from Bryher, Scilly this October. The islands were awash with Siskins this year - a real treat for me. I found this little chap getting ready to roost. I'm interested to see if the crop works for people...

Cheers,

Hi David,

A nice image. The BG colour makes the bird stand out well.

Yeah looks great. A lot of space on the left but it really works for me :toast:

I love some space in images so, yes, it works for me.

I like it, but feel that the small broken twig detracts from the simplicity of the composition. I would also add a touch more sharpening to the bird.

Looks good from here - salable image with some nice space for editorial Dave :toast:

The twig doesn't bother me too much, but not too sure I'd keep it, not from a comp PoV but I just think the broken end looks a bit 'taty' - if it had a bud on the end it would be okay :wavey:

Thanks Guys. Going to have a think about the twig! Jerry, I should have stated that this is a pretty hefty crop so I think more sharpening might not be possible. However, I will try! As always I go away after a posting with lots of homework!
All best and here's to some good weekend weather :toast:

I wouldn't be too hopeful about the weather if I were you!
I like the crop BTW
Best wishes

Very nice comp - excellent image. It has a kind of wistful quality which I like a lot.
