After an email from Tony Kuyper a couple weeks ago (discussing the merits of shooting local) I studied a topo and found a nearby canyon that sounded intriguing. Since there is next to nothing on the internet about this location, I think i'll keep it anonymous. No jaw-dropping scenery, but the further I walked up the creek (crossing numerous times to avoid cliffs) the more I was enchanted by the rugged beauty. My first shot will be posted on ESS shortly--here's a few more I ended up liking.

I kept the shadows dark for this one.

I could spend hours watching the wind move the creek over submerged ice sheets. I'm definitely going back to this place!

I know where this is! It's Rose Canyon. Or, is it Rose Stanyon?

Nah, I don't like the outdoors much. I'm just gonna stay home and play video games and surf for pr0n.

I like that river detail Stan. There's nothing better than finding a place to call your own! Even just to THINK it's all your own.

While icons are usually amazing (or they wouldn't be icons ), some of my favorite shooting destinations are the unknown, "secret" places!

Well, not so unknown that Steve Weaver figured it out immediately--course Steve is a smart cookie with a real keen eye!
It'll have to remain our secret, cause i cant in good conscience give the place any textual web presence!
