According to all I can see via the Internet ( as of this writing) as well as the NWS the forecast is for snow beginning mid AM in PDX. ( How many time are they correct?). Anyhow, I am thinking that later in the AM-the afternoon the gorge might be better than early AM.
Thoughts anyone?
Does anyone have a report of snow already in the gorge? how much? where?
I do plan on being over there most of tomorrow with fingers crossed!

Ill be out in the Gorge all day tomorrow....making my rounds from the Washington side....there are 3 waterfalls I am gonna shoot, plus some night sky from Cape Horn and then make my way around Hood River.....Anyone up for a beer????? and then down into moffett creek or someplace like that....I have 2 shots that I am working on along the Historic Highway that I need to get tomorrow as well....

There is a winter storm watch for the Gorge tomorrow. I've been on I84 during a snow storm and I have to tell you it's not a good idea. One wreck can block the highway for hours. Thats what happened to me around Wyeth. When I finally got through, there was a big traffic jam because the highway had big ruts and was like a washboard. You couldn't go faster than 10mph.

Darren ---latest forecast as of about 9pm tonight is for precipt. to start in PDX late AM-early afternoon. Who know when it will start--the earlier the better as far as I am concerned.
I am planning on getting over there about 10:30-11 or so. Try my mobile 503-333-8699. That goes for anyone else out as well!
