Another moon photo with the 50-200 lens.
This shows I was able to repair some of
the blown sections...

Late afternoon,
Hand-held shot.
96 mm (2x crop factor aka: 192mm) 1/250 sec at f / 4.0 ISO 100
Olympus E-510 IS, 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 (aka 100-400mm)

Oh BTW, here's an example of how the IS works on this camera. I was shooting Clint climbing POD, which was completely shaded, a little while after I shot the photo above.

400mm eq 35mm at 1/30s handheld

200 mm 1/30 sec at f / 3.5 ISO 200 - Olympus E-510 50.0-200.0 mm f/2.8-3.5

NIce shots, Dan! I like the corrected 'moon' shot, and the climbing shot is dead on. Both are nice and sharp. Looks like you're having fun with new box!

Hi Dan,

The corrected version works well. The colors look very nice. Here is a small suggestion - try brightening up the sky just a little bit so that it matches the light on the rocks better. This is not necessary but just a thought.

The climbing picture is quite neat. I look forward to seeing more of them.

Thanks Anil. I still have a difficulty processing my pics. It is hard to stay consistent and not overcorrect the contrast, brightness etc. As if I do a series, I will slowly drift and end-up overdoing something to the point the photo is way off what it should be.

I need practice on that...
