Jasper Rock Garden
Still going through images from Banff/Jasper. There was a lot of colorful groundcover. The 'Jasper Rock Garden' is a macro shot taken with 4x5.

Wow, nice, Richie. I might clone out the bright leaf in the upper left (and maybe burn the rock on the left?), but I really like this!

Paul, I agree with you on the leaf in the upper left - I find it annoying also. I think I may have to invent some more needles for that area. Are you talking about making the rock darker on the left?

Wow, I bet the detail in the lichen and moss is great in a large print! I think I'd darken the left rock a tad too, just to balance with the other rocks although it's clearly a lighter bunch of lichen.
Looks like your trip was pretty productive!

Hi Richie,
Yea, I think making the rock on the left a bit darker might help (or might not :-).

You might tone down the highlites on the needles slightly (on the rock). I think this would be absolutely fabulous if you crop the top (to eliminate the rogue leaf).
