Coral Berry
I'm not real sure about the id on these common shrubs, but they sure are pretty right now. French mulberry is quite a bit larger than these short guys, but the berry clusters look similar. I was out taking a few shots of them this morning in a T shirt when the cold front blew in. By the time I got back to the truck, I was wishing I had a jacket! It was one of the quickest temperature drops I think I've experienced.

Lovely image, Bill. I like how you've included another patch of the berries in the distance. I think I know what shrub you're talking about. According to Carl Hunter's Trees, Shrubs, & Vines of Arkansas it's called Coral Berry or Indian Currant.

I like this Bill, though I might increase the contrast a bit - it comes off a bit light on my monitor (which of course may be just the monitor).

Beautifully rendered Bill ... a very nice painterly effect. I'll second Tim's thought on a contrast boost. Just a touch though!

Bill nice image. Somehow it has kind of a soft romantic feel to the colors. Good job.
(and I never use the word romantic?)

Thanks for your comments, guys. I think my monitor was still warming up when I saved this one, so it may be a little on the light side. At least that sounds like a pretty good excuse... Thanks for the ID, John! I knew they were too big for French mulberry.

I also meant to point out the big trees on the left side - all PECANS! I wanted to go see if there were any nuts on them, but got chased away by the approaching storm. I'll go back later this week...
