Pale Chanting Goshawk - Melierax poliopterus
This was a fantastic bird to see, both in flight and stationary, if only you could get close as it a very shy. I just loved the stripy trousers.

You do get some exotic stuff Steve
Cracking looking subject :toast:

Only nit for me is that the tail is a bit tight, and if you went for landscape crop you'd have some space for the bird to be looking into - doh - that's two!

The wispy grass can't be helped even though it gets confussing around the tail - overall - GOOD JOB :wavey:

Cheers Andy, it took me a while to get this from the track as you can't go 'off road'. Everytime you would get close it would just fly, know the feeling? Format, you take your chance, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, just glad I managed to capture him

They are beautiful raptors. Would prefer a landscape format but take what you can and all that. Superb :toast:
