Nice one :toast: The first on UKNP taken with the D300. Beautiful detail and sharp as it should be. Well done.
When the rain stops over here I will test the D300 myself. What's your opinion about the high iso? Have you tried the iso 800 outside?

Hi Edwin is the first nikon body I've ever owned where you can set your default settings in camera and use the JPEG straightaway with no other processing right up to ISO 3200 I was using ISO 1600 quite a lot today and the detail is amazing what I have found is if you leave the in camera noise reduction on its lowest setting it doesn't seem to destroy the detail.

Is that Blackbird taken with iso 1600? Amazing if you did. I also have the NR set to low but didn't have a chance to test it properly. Great shot. Did you use the MB-D10? I just love the sound of 8 shots per second

Hi Paul I actually prefer the 21point the 51 point 3D is supposed to be very good but I haven't really tried it yet the autofocus is definitely faster and more accurate than the d2x.

Phillip.
