I have a Nikon D80 with a Tamron 300mm zoom with macro. I bought a set of Opteka closeup lenses. It came with a +1,+2,+4, and 10x Macro lens.
The problem is.... with any of them on... my camera wont focus. Whats the deal? Did I just buy crappy lenses?

Your camera won't focus in what? How close is your subject? You lose infinity focus with those lenses, so it may well be that you're not close enough (or too close, whatever). So, try if you can get your subject sharp using manual focus. If that is achieved, switch back to AF. If it doesn't focus at all - well, then there's a problem.

Set the camera to manual focus, put lens on infinity. Pick an object to focus on. Starting from 2 inches away, slowly very slowly begin backing away until it's in focus. My hunch is it will focus somewhere around 10 inches away.

Kevin: A +1 lens will focus at 1 meter, a +2 at 1/2 meter, and a +4 at 1/4 meter. Anything beyond those distances will be out of focus. The stronger the lens, the narrower the focal range as well. With your +1 on board you may be able to focus from 1 meter to about 1/2 meter or just slightly closer. >=))>
