Wondering if anybody knows of a good instructional wildlife photography book?

Thankyou,

Mike

Arthur Morris' The Art of Bird Photography ( www.birdsasart.com ) I haven't read version II on CD, but I found the original book quite useful. Morris focuses on birds but the techniques can be applied to fauna as well.

My recommendations for books on Wildlife Photography would have to be:

Joe McDonald: The New Complete guide to Wildlife Photography (1998)

Joe McDonald: Designing Wildlife Photographs: Professional Field Techniques (1994)

Moose Peterson: Wildlife Photography: Getting Started in the Field (1998)
(Although, I'm not a big fan of Moose Petersons books in general, this one focuses on field techniques-- rather than equipment--to find and photograph animals--and is quite good)

Leonard Rue: How to Photograph Animals in the Wild (1996)

Leonard Rue: How I Photograph Wildlife and Nature (1996, but is actually a reprint of his 1984 book)

Two others that I recommend, although they cover more than just Wildlife Photography, are by George Lepp: Beyond the Basics (1993) and Beyond the Basics II (1997)

John Shaw's "Nature Photography Field Guide" is a classic and one of the best I've read.
