Took this whilst monitoring one of the Barn Owl sites I manage.
Taken more or less close to dark hence the quality. Being in the position I am, I still feeled honoured 10 years on to be able to work with them at such close quarters.
Thanks for looking

Nice one Vincent. Looking very natural. The only nit I can think of is the sharpening halo around the chest. Other than that great shot

Hi Vince,
You are right it is a total honour to be able to observe these stunning birds, some of the moments I had with my pair and their young this past summer will stay with me forever.
Lovely image showing a classic pose, if this was taken 10 mins earlier(they never play ball do they) I bet the light was fantastic.
Keep em coming Vince.
How's the centre coming on??
Regards
Rob

from my point of ignorance that owl looks strangely proportioned ?, lovely shot none the less and the last light feel suits the subject well

Very nice Vince, btw you would get nicer shots if you processed from raws... ;) But it looks good to me.

Super shot. You know what it is, what it's doing and where it's doing it. For me that's the essence of a great wildlife image.

Fantastic composition, love that the light is still catching the top of the wing and showing the colours.
Paul
Colours look spot on, really nice to watch these birds work a field, don't fancy the voles chances when one of these is about. We don't seem to get many in this part of Cornwall even with all this great habiat, must be all the farm buildings being used as holiday lets, maybe they should get some boxes up help them out a bit.
Cheers
