This one is from May this year. She had her nest on a construction yard. She let me come up close enough so I could take the shot without disturbing her. She was just doing her thing and didn't pay much attention to me. I heard that two chicks died when the workers started building again I hope she will make a nest on a more safe place next year.

Nice, shame to hear about the workers causing the loss of the chicks, i'm sure with a little persuation they would of left the nest alone?
I know anything related to my place of work would of done so.

You're right paul. Of course we did worn the workers and they did leave the nest alone. But the chicks started walking of one day and they we're found dead outside the construction yard.

It's a lovely image Edwin - wonderful to be allowed so close by what I think is one of the prettiest birds on the planet
Don't take this the wrong way, but it does look a little soft perhaps down to compression

Splendid images Edwin. This distinctive yellow eye ring is show up extremely well.
I can't belive those eggs come from that bird that must hurt. I love the second shot spot on.

The repost is the one! I know you can see the eggs in the first but the it look ungainly looking down and no eye contact. These birds are crazy - they always seem to nest in a minefield of quarry!

The eyes have it for me in the second shot.

Great second post Edwin. The first is a bit soft and doesn't do it for me. There's no doubting the second image in any respect...bang on!!

Like the first shot, due to the added interest of the eggs, but the dof and sharpness throughout of the repost swings it for me

Nice work
