Lost a couple of inches of snow overnight at 9400' in Gilpin County. Woke up to 39 degrees of windy warmth from the Southwest... Winds were gusting up to 65mph. Just an FYI for anyone heading up to the hills.

Darn right the winds are up! Driving past Georgetown yesterday, a road crew was trying to install a steel "Do Not Pass" sign, about 3 foot by 4 foot, on the shoulder of the east bound lanes, it got away from them and flew across the eastbound lanes, the median, and then the westbound lanes, made a 90 degree turn directly into traffic heading westbound, cartwheeling the whole time. Missed a truck by about 2 feet before the wind pulled it off the road and it slammed into the side of the hill.
