I have recently made the switch to Mac after years of PC use. So far everything has gone fairly smoothly but I have run into one thing I was hoping someone might answer my questions on.
I have used the font Papyrus quite regularly on the PC for a number of different things. Now as I open the file on the Mac, Photoshop says the Text using the font needs to be updated. Once I highlight the text and select the font, It changes greatly.
I really like the font and am struggling to replace it in all of my layouts and things. Any ideas on how I can get it to display like it did on the PC?

Alright, I just figured out I had a True Type and Open Type installed. The Open Type is the one that looks right. I now have the True Type deactivated.
So I guess I have a new question, which one comes with the Mac and which one did I bring over from my old PC?
Thanks,
Drew

I'm running OS X 10.4.10. Font Book shows only one entry for Papyrus, listed as Papyrus.dfont in the folder containing it, kind is True Type.
Fonts can show up from random application installations as well as from the OS - this is one of the little tricks that Mircosoft apps like to play on people.

Drew -
Max OS 10.4 ships with a TrueType version of Papyrus. It's Agfa's version, originally designed by Esselte back in 1990. It's version 4.0d1e1. Microsoft is worse about fonts than you describe: font libraries can be in the System Folder (System Folder > Library > Fonts) or in the individual user folder (Users > [user name] > Library > Fonts). The ones in the System Folder are available to all users; the ones in the User Folder are only available to the individual user.
A font with the same name in the User Folder trumps the one in the System Folder. So if you still have problems, check if there is one with the same name in the User Folder. MS will put its fonts there is on installation of MS OFfice you selected that option.
