I was up at Rocky Mountain National park again yesterday and got a few shots of Otis, Hallett Peaks and Flat Top Mountain from Sprague Lake. The wind was howling over that lake too, but I stuck around and got the shots I wanted.
The lake is frozen but I wouldn't walk on it yet, it looked thin in many places yet, don'ts wants anyones to fall through

another one from Sprague Lake.
These are all digital photos and I am getting tired of digital, I think this weekend I am going to camp at up their and get some morning shots with a 4X5. I don't know... I might even start in the Eagles Nest Wilderness here real soon

Good deal Paul. I wish it weren't such a long drive to RMNP for me.
The comp on the first one is a bit better. The paved trail in the second is a bit distracting.
Thanks for the pictures Paul. I'm glad to see that there is still some open water. I haven't been out for photography since October, before the ice started to form! Just 4 more days until my thesis is due and then back to my fun job. Man, I can't wait to get back into the mountains rather than looking at them from the Estes Park library!

Estes Park library? Thesis? what are you doing to keep you out of your picture taking?

You are one busy guy Erik. I bet you are happy it is nearly done!
