Water Rail
From Potteric Carr. At one point I had this Water Rail, a Jay and a Woodpecker all showing nicely at the same time!!!

Perhaps a fish eye might have been appropriate? Just find the BG a tad distracting/busy, could you knock it back a bit?

Getting under the car would have been a good POV  Good behavioural shot and yes, a bit busy, but take what you can :toast:

One of those poses where you don't know wether to put space on the right or the left!! Nice capture though.

I'm no expert on this, but I would like to see it further to the left of the picture and a little higher so that it is walking towards the centre of the frame and I would try to get the background a little more blurred but then I enjoy messing around in photoshop. I thnk it stands out pretty well among the clutter which after all is its natural habitat. A very nice picture of a shy bird and I would be happy to have one half as good.

Nicely done John!

I like the captured angle of the bird, and also feel the cluttered habitat is well suited :toast:
