Bonjour
This morning, as the weather was more or less OK I went to my hide in the reed.
I am trying at the moment to photograph water rail with a 15mm fisheye lens. Well it did not work this time....they did not come out while my lense was in place.I will have to make a dummy......
I also had my 500mm with me a took a few shot of a bird.
Iso 640,500mm,f5.6 this is the full frame shot.
Bonne journee

Lovely shot although personally I prefer a bit more space around the bird. You're going to start getting bored with these things aren't you !! How's that Rail with the leg iron getting on?
Dave
I know Dave, but this shot is more like a shot you see in fileguide in your face....Iron leg is doing fine, thanks for him....

Very nice shot Frederic although like Dave mentions a bit more room around the bird would be nice. Having recently purchased the fishy 15 I'm looking forward to seeing your (fingers crossed for you) results

As David said, a bit more room would suit me better too, but as a species id shot Frederic it's great

This is a lovely Rale d`eau A bit tight for me also, but I feel a petit jealous. I just can't get them in my viewfinder.
Wish it was mine

It' s a cracker Frederic. Not to tight for me. I'd be chuffed with this one. They're not an easy subject to get out in the open and not easy to get the exposure right.
The size within the frame suits my taste Frederic...............i just wish for better light to give it a slight lift.
Fine shot

Another very nice portrait Frederic. Usually I like a bit more room round the subject, but as the background looks fairly plain, it is fine to me as it is. We certainly don't see many pictures of these birds as uncluttered as this.

Size is ok for me Frederic. Without doubt a difficult bird to capture without too many distractions showing, so I would be pleased.

Super shot Frederic. I especially like that the beak is nice and clean and you can see the brigth red colour. It must have known it was going to have its picture taken. So often they are covered in mud.
