None bearing in mind that it is supposed to be for profesisonal photographers but almost anyone can join!
In the US, it is very different and pros can expect (and do receive) many member benefits (equipment loans, fast track repairs etc) but this will not exist in Europe until the organisation itself takes a more professional stance and the first stage is to be an organisation FOR professionals not just anone who has deep enough pockets to buy 'professional' kit
This is not an 'anti amatuer' comment. The CPS is supposed to be an organisation that supports those working full time in photography and using Canon equipment. In Europe, it has no value whatsoever
I get good benefits from CPS, the mag, direct access to technical support, fast tracked news via a variety of sources and better customer care (than Nikon at least), and I have used the CPS number in the past to fast track essential repairs.
I would suggest that you don't need to be "working full time" to be Canons defination of professional, any income from photography on what ever basis should be sufficient - after all what is the difference between somebody who makes £20K profit working part time in photography and £20K profit work full time photography.
Us Pro-Am's probably buy more of their kit than full time professionals simply due to our increased number - which, to be honest, is what Canon should be interested in. What's wrong with those that invest over a certain amount in Canon all receiveing the same service?
David, contrary to Barry, I would say Canon CPS definately has a value just keep growing the services.

6 repliesHas anyone had problems logging onto the CPS site, it seems to have changed to a Euro-wide site.
I have tried to log on and asked it to send my password via email but nothing seems to be happening. Any help would be appreciated.
