One from the Richmond outing
Only just got round to processing this one. I have a lot on and am also getting used to a new LCD monitor, wow, how difficult that is!
Wonder if the shot is any good or too ordinary. I see such beautiful stag shots on the forum that mine looks a bit tame to me.

Hi Paula,

Not too ordinary for me at all, in fact I think it's very nice indeed, especially with the line of colourful autuminal leaves at the top of the frame, which add an extra dimension.

Looks to have an almost dream-like quality to it, as if a soft-focus filter or similar effect has been used.

Agree with Justins comments-lovely soft lighting and autumn colours make this very unordinary

Gorgeous image Paula, only minor nit is that I would like a bit more room for the virtual legs...

but the overall look is really really nice....

Hello Paula,
Moody image - I really like the look on his face as though he is just enjoying that bit of sun on the back of his neck after a cool night. A really lovely picture. I used to live near Richmond park and I am beginning to wish I still did. :wavey: :toast:

Hello Paula,
Yes, a pleasant image, but the reason it doesn't have the impact you'd like is perhaps caused by the high contrast of the branches/leaves above the animal. Perhaps you could increase selectively the contrast on the stag while knocking back that on the leaves. Just enough to make the stag stand out as much as the leaves. Nice comp.

Missed this post Paula - lovely image :toast:

I particularly like the subtle mist - very atmospheric :wavey: :wavey:

Very good Paula - the slight mistiness gives it in an unusual ethereal quality. Ideally a bit more room for the virtual legs.
