Nice to see a male and female together-very difficult to shoot in the UK but dead easy over here-will be doing some myself this week if the weather eases up,

Hi Dave,

Thanks for looking , weather wasn't too good this morning , really struggled to achieve a decent shutter speed hence the lack of sharpness , maybe next time

Its got to be worth a try Andrew even when things seem stacked against you.

That's a nice colourful picture considering the weather we have been having. Comp wise it looks pretty good to me, but maybe a bit more of the spray would be nice as it looks a bit cut-off at the moment. I assume they are taking -off so you might be able to have them leaving the picture rather than entering it. It's just an idea, as I am no expert here.

Hi Andrew the comp. is fine by me just if the birds had been a Tad sharper it would have been a great capture. :toast:

Hi Guys,

Thanks for looking and thanks for the comments

Hi Eric , welcome to the forum , hope you enjoy it :toast:

Hi John , yeah it's a shame about the sharpness , I was caught a little off guard and had no time to react and switch settings for a flight shot.

Regards to all

Well done to get the pair together. I get these on the local canal in winter either at first light or after sunset and they spook very very easily. Even at ISO 3200 I've not had enough shutter speed to capture a sharp flight shot. :frown: I appreciate the difficulty
