Light on the currents of Utah's Virgin River. This image from the backcountry above the narrows at mid-day. The rich light comes from direct sun cast onto red sandstone and yellow foliage just outside the frame.
Thanks for comments.

Beautiful intimate image of the river, Marc. The light reflecting on the three stones is quite lovely.

I have to agree with Bret's comments.

you don't need nuggets in the river to see the gold in this shot! Very nice!

Light on the river and stones is very special. Beautiful reflexions and color. It is pretty amazing how the water strokes turned out in this photo... so smooth on the right side and dynamic otherwise. Excellent shot!
Your SW photos are just getting better and better, Marc.

I shoot a lot of this style of image, and this one is excellent. Everytime I see the opportunity, I shoot. I get suckered in everytime! The only thing I do different is that I try to have a 1 second exposure minimum, anything less and I feel caught in between a nice blur and stop action. Just personal taste I guess. Overall I think your work is amazing and, for me, possesses a strong emotional impact. I look forward to seeing more.

I can't even count the number of shots I have based on this same premise. Somehow mine don't have quite the magic of this one.

This one really grabs you as you watch it open. That reflective light really makes this special.

Marc - I'm an east coast guy, but was poking around and saw this - hope no one minds if I comment. It's magnificent. The water texture is incredible. It immediately remind me of one of Waleed Marhoum's EPs. The feathery feel with firm rock is really engrossing....as is the light here.
