I haven't had much time to go through the images from my quick trip through the San Juans and Sand Dunes during the 1st big snowstorm. But here's a couple from the dunes that I've managed to process...
This first one was taken along the road that leads into the dunes and is a 5-minute exposure taken about 30 minutes after sunset.

The dunes didn't get snow, but the mountains above were nice.
First one is just amazing, Grant. The second I think might be stronger in B&W.

The first one is very pretty, only the right lower corner feels a little empty.
I like the composition in the second one. I think Guy's suggestion to transfer in to B&W would work well here.

I think cropping the bottom 1/3 from the first image would make it better. The second one just doesn't work for me, as the light on the dunes is flat. The mountains are very nice though. Thanks for posting.

Both are good, but I agree with Guy. The second would look really good in B&W

#1 is great, but I agree about maybe taking a bit off the bottom. #2 is nice, but not in the same league as #1.

That first one rocks the house! *Maybe* a little magenta cast, but maybe not.

I really like the first one. Am I safe to assume it is of Blanca, Ellingwood, Lindsay, and Little Bear? It has been a while since I been in that area. Excellent image!

Nice. I think I like the first one. Cropping the bottom as suggested might be an interesting alternative.

I love the perspective and lighting in #1.
The shrubs are so regularly spaced that the blank space in the lower right is distracting, but I'd hate to crop.

I absolutely love that first one. I've always wanted to stop and shoot there. Just seeing this wonderful capture somehow fills that void. Excellent.

Thanks y'all! I kind of like the empty space in the bottom right, as I'm not sure if I'd like a perfect symmetry here. But I can see how some could find it distracting. I'd normally have done more compositions, but it was getting too dark. There is a slight magenta cast. I noticed the snow wasn't a perfect white when posting, but I figured no one would notice . Jeff, I'm not sure the name of the peaks, but I assume that's right. These are the peaks you see at the main turnoff to reach the dunes from the south.
The 2nd shot was taken around 2pm, so it wasn't the best light. But I wanted to get that cloud. I may try it as a b&w sometime. Thanks for the suggestions!

Really like that first one Grant, the brush and implied lines just rocket my eyes through the frame to the peaks.
#1 is really sweet. Very very cold feeling. I really like it.

Two thumbs up on that 1st one, Grant, Exceptional composition!

I'm with the rest of the crowd - #1 is stunning. I got the same feeling as Todd in that the color seemed a bit unusual. Tough to say on a laptop, but the grasses feel a little cool. Could be that it was after sunset? Either way, it's a phenomenal dunes shot!
