I'm thinking of upgrading from Elements 4 to 6. I'm wondering if the upgrade is worth it? Does 6 have a lot more capability than 4? Also I see 4 and 6 packaged together. Why would one want both doesn't 6 have everything that 4 has? As you can see I'm relatively new to the digital world.

I am not real familar with Elements anymore, so I can't directly comment on that.
For the two software packages, I've been seeing Elements packed with Elements Premiere, or whatever their Elements equivalent of video editing software is. I think that is getting to version 4 now, that is what you might be seeing.

Thanks Dan, that clears up the double packaging.

You might want to read some of the reviews on Amazon re: 6 before deciding to upgrade.

Absolutely version 6 is worth the upgrade. I used to use PE 3 and 4 before going to PS CS2, so I'm familiar with the shortcomings of v4. Right off the bat with version 6 (and 5) you get the Curves adjustment. That right there is worth the upgrade. v6 also now has the Photomerge function and pretty good B&W conversion. Definitely upgrade!
