Hi All, thanks for your comments. I thought I would put in this image with this kind of comp. just to get your feed back. I have taken other shots of the Hare with the traditional comp. This animal was very difficult to see. It was taken in Churchill Canada recently.

Very interesting shot - great picture for me. Have to agree about the crop though. I like it that you are prepared to post something that you aren't sure of yourself, it gives the rest of us food for thought.

Great high key shot John but it does need the crop off the bottom.

Fantastic image; it really stands out as something different. One of my favourite images from UKNP this year.

Hi John. Fantastic stuff as always. I can see why this composition appealed. To me, the hare looks like he's looking at the few meagre bits of vegetation left on the tundra.

I like this one, it's very much like Anna Henlys encounter from WPOY, fantastic detail and would look great as a large print I bet.

I really like this sort of shot.... I would crop the bottom off as I think the OOF 'plants' detract from the high key simplicity...

Agree about the bits at the bottom, the exposure is perfect so I'd just crop to clean snow all round.
