Haven't been around much lately due to being right in the thick of basketball, this is my last year of it , got permission to shoot this falls on private land this evening it's about 35-40 ft tall. It's the only cascade type falls that I know of in this area and the owner doesn't want me to give it's exact location for fear of people falling over the cliffs.
I had to do a quick process on this one and I cloned out the bright sky above the lip of the falls, also did a conversion since the landscape is pretty monotone now, so far I have come across fifteen falls in my county this size or bigger. When the water is flowing like today you can see many falls surrounding our little town like this one.
This spring after I finally finish out my coaching career I plan on doing an extensive shoot of all the falls in my county and hopefully start posting here alot more than I have been lately.

That's a beautiful falls, Bernie -- love the multiple cascades. I really like your B&W treatment. Maybe you can convince the landowner to name it Bernie Falls? (No, wait. That doesn't sound right.)

Beautiful waterfalls, Bernie...wish we had some in our area of MI!
I'd love to hear more about the falls you are finding in your area. You need someone to help navigate, let me know!

Bernie,
The black and white treatment on this is stunning Wishing to see alittle more foreground though.

Looks like you found a great place to photograph. I would want to clear the brush from the upper right corner. I would also try some close up photos of various parts of the falls.
If you like pictures of waterfalls you should check out Tim Ernst's photos of Arkansas Waterfalls at http://www.cloudland.net/tim_ernst_photos.html. I like his 2007 Waterfall Gallery that is near the bottom of the page.

I love how you filled the frame with it.. I sat back in my chair and absorbed it.. A strong shot, in my opinion.. Great job, Bernie.. It reminds me of a lap of someone seated..

Bernie,
What a wonderful image. I would love to see just a bit more of the logs on the bottom, but you did a great job capturing the feeling here. Very nice.

Thanks for all the comments, the bad thing about this particular falls is the amount of trash and garbage that was strewn thru out the base of the falls.
Daryl: Thanks for the link, he does have some beautiful work on his site.
CJ: You wouldn't believe some of these falls I am coming across.
This is a really nice image, Bernie, and a great find. There's nothing remotely like this in either of the counties I spend most of my time in (DuPage in Illinois and Marion in Indiana).
