Hi gang,
Well, the title says it all, but its a portrait shot and I can't post that here or you all will get down on me for posting non nature shots. Rick and I shot a Kayak Race event early December over at Bowman Bay / Deception Pass.
We froze but we had a blast. Came home and did some quick editing to post our shots on our website. Got a number of inquiries, including one from a Paddling magazine. They almost published the shot, but it was a practice session of a rescue, not a real rescue.
Anyway, the long and short of it is that all inquiries were about my images for a change. I'm totally stoked. Never have I gotten much recognition for my images - to the point that I don't show them here at all.
My first sale! And we get our site listed. Adn Rick claims I got the best shot of the day -- which again is man and nature so I won't post it here. But i'm bragging and very happy.
Yeah me!

Nancy,
We have different rules here than the national forums. Posting on PNWNP is quite diverse. I'm sure you posting it would be just fine. Lets see it! BTW, congrats on your first sale.

Congrats Nancy! And I agree with the prior statements, not all posts need to be of nature on here. I enjoy seeing other work too.

Man, things have changed around here. I clearly remember a heated debate about what was allowed --- and many insisted that only nature shots were allowed. Possibly they would allow man and nature, but certainly not portrait stuff. Nice to know the heat has cooled a LOT.
The piece that sold is a comp of a friend standing there smiling. Nothing you would recognize as art, but George and Barb like it for their business needs.
:) Thanks for the encouragement folks.

Please do note that about half the images from this event are Ricks' and I will not take full credit.

That last image is IMHO Nancy's best piece yet and I am SOOOOOO proud of her!!!

wow! great work Nancy (and Rick)! Nancy, c'mon girl, get on here and post! And hearty congratulations on your sale. All very exciting. A wonderful collection of images.

Any image fitting for any of the forums are welcome on this site, IMHO. So...heck, with the addition of the "Off Topics" forum...that means just about anything! People who have problems with that are originally too uptight and dont have to look at the images!
We miss your participation here...
So...with that being said... CONGRATS! Exciting stuff isn't it?
