Taken today during the first break in the almost 5 day winter weather event we experienced in the Kansas City area. We missed the worst of it because the temps hovered around 32/33 degrees yesterday while it rained 2+ inches. Still we had a fair amount of ice on the tree limbs, just not as much ice as it would have been if the temps were just a couple of degrees colder.

Wayne I know the ice causes alot of damage and is very dangerous, but is also very beautiful. I was hoping to see some ice images from you guys further north. Very nice job keep up the good work.
Wayne, It's good to hear that you missed the worst of it. It's unfortunate that so many people didn't. Nice comp here. The gray sky makes me think this might look nice as a black and white.

Wayne, that could be your Christmas card! The ice covered trees really look nice, as long as there is not too much ice. Our plant in Joplin has been without power since Monday due to the storm they got.

Good composition, Wayne. And it's an interesting mix of browns and "almost" black and whites. I like it.

I like this, Wayne. You're on your way to having a good set of pictures for each season at this area. Can't wait to see more!
