Dark Night
I've had this photo and one other in my mind since spring, but never got around to recording them. Well, recently I made the time, and though it was only eleven degrees out I think it was worth it. The image is just from a small lake close to home, that under normal days doesn't provide me with much. AS for the other image in my mind, well, it didn't work out so well.

Since I was on the pc printing out a couple images I resized a couple more to share in the coming days.

Thanks for looking

Nicely done Robert. I would prefer if the geometry of the dock would point more towards the sun, but that's a minor nit (and something you couldn't control). Black and white was a good choice here.

Thanks for the comments. Joel, I should clarify that what you feel is the sun is actually another boat ramp light. This image was taken at 4am and was a ten minute exposure. I should have clarified since a family member also thought it was the sun.

Thanks again

4:00 a.m....wow! I'm torn between wanting to see less of the dock, or leaving it as is, but the B&W works well for this one, Robert.

Good to know Robert...it makes sense now that I look at it with that understanding.

Now I understand the title. Beautiful use of lines and the B&W treatment works very well.

Great shot Robert, I like the dock and the b&w conversion in this, for me just a little clone job on that light spot at the top of the image would make this perfect. :toast:
