Sunlight sears across the Spring growth around the Old Man of Storr and throws him and his cousins into near silhouette. I lovw this type of light despite its close axis to the sun. The grass literally fluoresces with extraordinary intensity while the moisture in the background creates softly detailed apricot hues in the background.

Thats a beauty, what a wonderful landscape and as you say incredible light. When it happens up there it REALLY happens doesn't it. Great shot

Very nice.
As you say it throws the Old Man into almost sillouette, but you've nailed the exposure to give plenty detail there.
Do you need the foreground boulder? Or would it be a stronger shot cropping above it?

Some great lines in this composition. The gradual change of tones from top left to bottom right are beautifully orchestrated. The subtle and harmonious colours, the sympathetic lighting, make this a beautiful portrayal of an outstanding scene.
