Yo moderators! Any interest in rejuvinating the Shindig print swap? We didn't have one last year but I've heard good things about it?
What's the crowd say?

Kalin - you asked and you shall receive! Actually, if you look at the events page you will see the White Elephant Print Exchange as part of the festivities.
So, who wants in?

Thanks Rene, I must have missed the mention on the events page. I guess rules/guidelines are forthcoming?
Size? Loose, matted, framed?
Should be fun!

I would suggest bring an 8x (8x10, 8x12, etc). You may choose to bring a larger print, or even a matted print.
As for the rules, I would say lets follow standard White Elephant protocol. Every person picks a number - lowest number goes first and picks one print. Then, each subsequent number chooses a new print, or steals a print from a person that has already picked. If someone steals a print form a person, this person will get to choose a new print. Of course, the person that goes last has the best choice among all prints. I would also suggest that we cover up all prints at the start, to make it a bit more interesting.
Only folks that bring a print will participate in the exchange.
Let me know what everyone thinks about size and/or the rules.

I think enough people print on Super B or larger printers that we could open it to whatever size. But 8" is a good minimum size.
Ok, stupid question perhaps seeing that this is the RMNP group, but should we limit our prints to the RM region, or may I bring an appropriate subject print from outside N. America?
Any picture is fine from anyplace. Your choice. Any size with 8" wide as a minimum. I like Rene's idea of making usre that the prints are covered so it is truly a 'white elephant' type giveaway.

Been a while since I've done a white elephant. When someone picks a pic, do they reveal it so the next person knows what they might be getting or do they all stay covered until all have been chosen?

Once you pick out a print then you open it to reveal it to the group.
