I sucked it up and bought CS3 Extended yesterday. I'm a graduate student and it only cost me $150 which I couldn't pass up. Anyways, I never worked with you version of Photoshop and only have a few months under my belt with my new D40X. Does anyone have any suggestions for a guide CS3 guide? I found one (forgot the title) but it's $50. Thanks for the help.

I recommend Martin Evening's 'PS CS3 for Photographers' and Scott Kelby's 'PS CS3 Book for Digital Photographers'.
Check out the reviews at Amazon to see which one will work best for you.

Mike,
Go to Amazon and search for CS3. There are a plethora of books out there. I think if you're just learning you can't go wrong with Scott Kelby's books. The "How to Wow" series is also really good, and I think the CS3 is version is just about to be released.

Martin Evening's latest "Photoshop CS3 for Photographers" - The author is a very fine working pro photographer - written extremely well with a fine color index and a splendid companion DVD . . .
I keep a copy at every post production station . . .
