Has anyone had any experience with this unit. It seems to have good specs in that it can come with large HDs and can handle most storage cards. I am using an old Nixvue Digital Album Lite which is no longer being made. It's OK, but I am more and more afraid it will fail on me since it has seen a lot of use.

In any case, is the new ColorSpace good enough for review of the images so a lap top is not necessary on trips?

Thanks,
Ed

Ed - Michael Reichmann of The Luminous Landscape has posted a review of it here.

(And, incidentally, that site is a fantastic resource for all kinds of photography stuff.)

Ed,

Have a look at a review by Michael Reichmann:

It still is a small LCD so in terms of reviewing your photos, it won't be any better then your camera's LCD.

As a backup device, I have its predecessor, the HD80. I have found it extremely reliable and fast and from what I have read of the ColorSpace, that tradition continues. When I am in the field for extended periods, I have two of the HD80's and I don't worry about a laptop.

Sure call me paranoid

Cheers,

Andre

Hi Ed, no experience here with the new Colorspace, but I have been using the older Hyperdrive 80 for some time now, and it's been very reliable, fast, and easy to use. One of the main things I like about dealing with Sanho is they don't rip you off on the accessories. My AC charger recently died, and I went online to purchase a new one. I was thinking it would be vastly overpriced, similar to cell phone chargers, but was very happy to see it was only $9.95, and shipping was a measly $1.86. If that had been a cell phone company I would have eneded up paying $40+ bucks for the same thing! Sanho has definitely treated me right. I'm looking for another HD80 now on ebay because I don't care about the viewing ability. A great product for the money; and I would think the Colorspace would follow in that pattern.
